Everyone signs the same copy of the document, in any order — whether they came in by link or by name.
Every recipient gets their own separate copy and signs it alone — nobody sees anyone else's signature. You end up with one signed document and one certificate per person. Use Group sign instead when several people must sign the same sheet.
A group is a fixed set of people who sign together — a committee, a board, a set of trustees. You share its invite link, they join, and you can then send documents to the whole group at once.
